Decorate the table in Shabby Chic style using WOJ

 
Good morning to you :-)

Karin her today - Only a few days left then it's Christmas Eve. My tutorial today is how to decorate the party table easily and quickly in a shabby chic style using WOJ rubber stamp.

This are the items and tool I`ve used. 

How to decorate a white candle light:

I have a stove and I heat the spoon on it. If you have a gas stove, you can heat the spoon, if you like, 

on a heat gun.

I use white dinner napkins.

Stamp directly at them. Divide them, so it's only the outer layer of paper  you use.

I attach to the candle with the backside of a hot spoon.

Table cards: I`ve used a part of the stamps: Santa riding.. and Elf Maja & Kitty writing Santa`s list

and the edges are aged with Archival Ink - Coffee.

Dinner Napkins: White dinner napkins,

lovely Maja, Santa and December sentiments are stamped on the napkins.

The napkins are folded together so as much as possible of the motifs are visible.

This was the result of the candles :-) Christmas spirit with WOJ :-)

Quick, easy and affordable!

Now Christmas guests can just arrive :-)

I just new I wanted to make that some day and maybe you think..Yes just what I`m looking for.

Stempeln auf einer Kerze - stamp on candle

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

heute darf ich euch ein Tutorial für Whiff of Joy zeigen

Ich habe letzte Woche meine erste Kerze bestempelt und bin hin und weg davon.

 Nun wurde ich mehrfach gefragt, wie ich es gemacht habe.

Also Ihr braucht:

eine Kerze ;)

Seidenpapier

einen Stempel

ein Stempelkissen (Memento, StanzOn)

Farben zum colorieren

Heißluftfön

Als erstes stempelt Ihr den Stempel einmal auf das Seidenpapier und schneidet dieses Motivnah aus

Nun coloriert ihr den Abdruck. Ich habe diesen mit den Distressmarkern gemacht.

Dabei solltet ihr aber aufpassen, das es nicht zu nass wird. Sonst macht das Seidenpapier schlapp .

Man kann natürlich auch Buntstifte nehmen.

Habt Ihr den Abdruck fertig legt ihr ihn glatt über die Kerze.

Darauf einen Streifen Backpapier. Achtet darauf das dieser lang genug ist, sonst verbrennt Ihr Euch die Hände.

Zieht alles schön stramm und los geht es.

Mit dem Heißluftfön drüber gehen. Ihr werdet beobachten, das sich der Abdruck farblich verändert. Ähnlich wie beim Embossen.

Ist das mit dem ganzen Abdruck passiert, ist die Kerze fertig.

 Ihr könnt das Backpapier abnehmen und Eurer Werk bewundern

Verwendete Materialien:

Stamps On Candles / Stempel auf Kerzen

Draussen wird es immer düsterer und man verkriecht sich immer lieber ins warme Stübchen bei wohligem Kerzenschein... so hab ich wieder weisse Kerzen hervorgekramt und diese mit den süssen WOJ Winter-Stempeln verschönert.

Outside it is getting darker and darker and you prefer to bury yourself into the warm parlor with comforting candlelight ... So I've dusted off again some white candles and embellished them with the sweet WOJ winter stamps.

 

 

 

Dazu habe ich mit Memento Ink das Motiv auf weisses Seidenpapier gestempelt, mit Copic Markern koloriert und dann nahe ums Motiv herum ausgeschnitten. Das Seidenpapier auf die Kerze gelegt, mit dem Backpapier die Kerze umwickelt und dann mit dem HeatingTool die oberste Wachsschicht zum schmelzen gebracht. Dadurch dringt das Wachs durch die feinen Poren des Papiers, aber nicht durch das Backpapier und versiegelt es so nahtlos mit der Kerze. Et voilà :) Ein schönes Band drumherum... ein immer beliebtes Geschenk, das immer ein warmes Licht schenkt.

To do this I've stamped the image with Memento Ink on white tissue paper, coloured it with Copic Markers and cutted it out closest possible arround the image. Layed it on the candle, then furled it into a sheet of baking paper and melted the supreme coat of wax using  the HeatingTool. The wax pentrates through the pores of the tissue paper, but not through the baking paper. So it's impregnated seamless with the candle. Et voilà :) With a beautiful ribbon arround... a very loved Giveaway that always offers a warm light.
