Hello, Katharina here! Today I would like to show you how to colour a lovely stamp from Whiff of Joy stamped directly onto fabric with the Fabricolor markers from Kuretake.

Hallo von Katharina! Heute möchte ich euch anhand eines Videos zeigen wie ihr ein knuffiges Motiv von Whiff of Joy, welches ich direkt auf Stoff gestempelt habe, mit den Fabricolor Markern von Kuretake ausmalen könnt.
Weiter unten werde ich ausserdem kurz über die Vor- / Nachteile der neuen Marker sprechen.

• Die Farbintensität der Stifte gefällt mir besonders gut. Sie sind auf Stoff richtig schön kräftig. Die Copics sind immer etwas blass ausgefallen (sie sind ja auch nicht für Stoff gedacht :)
• Die Fabricolors “bluten” auch weniger (natürlich kann man es nicht ganz verhindern, aber mit ein wenig Übung kann man das geringe “auslaufen” verhindern). Anmerken möchte ich noch, dass die Farben unterschiedlich stark verlaufen, also zuerst ausprobieren, welche Farbe wie reagiert.
• Es kommt sehr darauf an, welche Art von Stoff man verwendet. Die Stifte reagieren unglaublich unterschiedlich auf den verschiedenen Stoffarten. Hier hilft nur: Vorher ausprobieren.
• Es gibt einen Blender Stift *wow* – mit dessen Hilfe kann man sogar auf Stoff Verläufe zu Stande bringen (genial!) Aber Vorsicht! Dazu muss man schon ein paar Mal üben, da der Blender viel stärker “blutet” (verläuft) als die anderen Farben. Also nicht gleich aufgeben.

• I love the colour intensity of the markers. They are a lot intenser than the Copics (which are not intended for fabric at all :)
• The Fabricolors almost don’t bleed ( you need to practise a bit to avoid bleeding completely). Each colour bleeds differently – therefore I recommend testing them before using for the first time.
• Important: The markers react differently on different kind of fabrics. The way of coloring might be completely different from one fabric to another. You will need to test it first.
• There exists a Blender pen *wow*! It is actually possible to create shading on fabric. It is not easy though, because the Blender beeds more than the other colours – so don’t give up if it doesn’t work right from the start.

Why should I get the new Distress Markers if I already own the inkpads and/or the refillers?
This was the main question I asked myself after hearing that these markers are coming out. The advantages quickly became clear to me.
- they are easy to take with you if you want to colour outside your craft room.
- they are great to colour small details or to write text on your creations
- you can also stamp with them if you only stamp small images 

disadvantages:
- it is difficult to blend them directly on the paper, you need to use a medium to apply the ink on first (acrylic block or craft sheet)
- NOT refillable (this is a bit disappointing, because normally Tim Holtz’s products are very economical and reasoned. Why don’t make them refillable if the Distress refillers exist?)

Overall I am very happy with the markers and I think they are a great addition to the Distress line from Ranger!

Warum sollte ich mir die neuen Distress Markers kaufen, wenn ich doch schon die Stempelkissen und/oder die Refillers habe?
Das war die entscheidende Frage, die ich mir selbst gestellt habe, als ich hörte, dass die Marker auf den Markt kommen werden. Die Vorteile lagen für mich persönlich schnell auf der Hand.

- Man kann die Marker einfacher mitnehmen, wenn man auf ausserhalb des Bastelzimmers colorieren möchte (ich gehe oft in einen IndoorSpielplatz mit meinen Kindern, da sind die Marker handlicher als die Stempelkissen).
- Man kann mit ihnen leicht kleine Details deckend ausmalen und gezielt Schattierungen setzen.
- Man kann mit den Distress Markers auch stempeln, solange es kleine Motive sind, Hintergründe etc.
Nachteile:
- Es ist schwer die Distress Markers direkt auf dem AquarellPapier zu vermalen, dazu braucht man ein Zwischenmedium auf das man die Tinte zuerst aufträgt (Akrylblock oder Bastelmatte).
- NICHT nachfüllbar (dieser Punkt ist recht enttäuschend. Normalerweise sind die Produkte von Tim Holtz sehr durchdacht. Warum stellt man nicht wiederbefüllbare Stifte her, wenn die Nachfüller für die Stempelkissen schon existieren?)

Alles in Allem bin ich sehr zufrieden mit den Distress Markern und halte sie für eine gute Ergänzung zu der Distress Linie von Ranger.

Distress Markers...

... erste Schritte

Vor ein paar Tagen bekam ich meine Distress Markers , ui da war die Freude Groß

Doch wie coloriert man mit ihnen????? Fragen über Fragen....

Also habe ich etwas im Netz gestöbert, aber dort fand ich das meiste nur für *non cute*

Frau ist ja nicht dumm und hat sich dann mal schnell hingesetzt und etwas hin und her probiert...

Man kann die Farben auf eine glatte Fläche malen und mit dem Pinsel aufnehmen, oder es wird am Rand gemalt und anschließend mit dem Pinsel verwischt... was auch sehr gut geht

Im großen und ganzen wie auch mit den Distress Ink Nachfüllern oder auch den Stempelkissen, aber wenn ich die Wahl hätte würde ich mich heute für die Stifte entscheiden ...

Denn die Stifte kann man überall mit hinnehmen, die Distress Ink Nachfüller sind da ja etwas unhandlich, ich habe zwar die tolle kleine Box dafür, aber wenn man sie etwas schräg hält verlaufen die Farben ineinander.

Was mit den Stiften ja nicht passieren kann.

Welches Papier ihr dafür benutzt müsst ihr ausprobieren, mein erster Versuch war auf dem Canson Manga Block, das ging prima. Ich werde euch auf dem laufenden halten und weiter davon berichten...

Ach, auf Karteikarte geht es gar nicht, oder sagen wir, ich kann es darauf nicht.
Die Stifte wird es demnächst bei Whiff of Joy im Shop geben 

Mit dem Motiv habe ich eine große runde Dose als Geschenkverpackung gepimpt, in ihr ist ein Tischläufer versteckt, den meine Freundin zum Geburtstag bekommt.

Colouring Baby Henry with Promarkers

Good Morning Everyone! Today, I (Jane) have a tutorial to share with you to show you how I colour a Baby Henry image using Promarkers. 

To stamp and colour the image you will need:

• Memento or other water based ink
• Baby Henry Whiff of Joy stamp
• Promarkers in the following colours: Cinnamon, Tan, Putty, Ivory, Satin, Light Fawn (Flexmarker), Turquoise, Duck Egg Blue, Aqua, Soft Peach, Oatmeal, Blush

To colour the image:

1. Stamp the image with Memento on smooth white card

 2. Apply Cinnamon around the edges of the image

3. Blend Tan over the Cinnamon colouring a bit further into the image

4. Colour over both colours with Putty

5. Apply Soft peach to edges of the ears and nose

6. Blend with Oatmeal, add a touch of Oatmeal to feet pads

7. Blend with Blush

8. Add Satin to tummy and to tail

9. Blend with Ivory and light fawn

10. Add turquoise to dummy and to edges of nappy tabs

 11. Blend with Duck Egg Blue

12. Blend both colours with Aqua

13. Tidy Edges with Blender pen

This is a tag I created with the image, decorated with die cuts from the Hello Baby duo dies available here from Whiff of Joy.

And this is the back decorated with another die from the same set.
